AI Contracts Radar · UK public sector · Waitlist open
UK public-sector AI and data contracts, in one weekly feed.
The Radar reads every notice on Find a Tender and Contracts Finder and keeps the ones classed as AI or data: early signals, open tenders, awards and contracts coming up for renewal. Every row links to the official notice.

Renewals due
242 contracts, all AI or data (£276.5m across the 213 core contracts with an ex-VAT value, median £95k), awarded in the last 12 months, initial term ending in 3 to 18 months (24 Jan 2027 to 26 Apr 2028).
Renewals aren't part of the 90-day figures above. 67 initial terms end in March 2027, the financial year end. We don't assume extension options will be used.
Values are ex-VAT unless marked "inc. VAT". Where a notice gives only a VAT-inclusive value, we mark it "inc. VAT" and leave it out of totals, medians and shares. In this sample that's 26 core rows (22 distinct notices): 2 early signals, 5 tenders, 9 awards and 10 renewals.
What you'll get
Only AI and data
Over the last 12 months, 1,174 of 158,114 notices were classed as AI or data. The Radar finds them with keyword and CPV-code rules.
In a hand check of 40 randomly sampled notices (26 Oct 2026), we estimate about 95% of the notices the Radar flags are relevant. That's an indicative figure from a small sample, and it counts AI and data training as relevant. We haven't yet measured how many relevant notices it misses.
Early signals
Pipeline and market engagement notices come out before the tender is published. The sample found 40 of them in 90 days, worth £64.4m across the 14 with an ex-VAT value.
Renewals to watch
Contracts awarded in the last 12 months whose initial term ends in 3 to 18 months, with the buyer, the current supplier where it's published, the value and the end date. 67 initial terms end in March 2027 alone.

Questions
- Where does the data come from?
- The official Find a Tender and Contracts Finder open data feeds, published by the Cabinet Office under the Open Government Licence v3.0.
- What counts as AI and data?
- AI, machine learning, large language models, chatbots, computer vision, speech and ambient voice, plus data platforms, analytics and data engineering. Each row is marked core (AI or data is named in the title or CPV code) or component (it's one part of a wider contract). Skills and training notices are flagged separately. Notices on both sites, or re-published on one, are counted once (de‑duplicated).
- Is this bidding advice?
- No. The Radar is a research feed. Always read the official notice before you act.
- What happens to my email?
- We keep it securely with our hosting provider (Cloudflare) until launch and use it only for Radar emails, which we send through our email provider (Resend). We never sell lists.
